ADDING MULTIMEDIA UPS Names New District Executive
MILANO, Italy - (Business Wire) Cindy Miller, a 20-year veteran of
UPS (NYSE:UPS) who heads the Metro Chicago District, has been named
the vice president of operations for the company’s
South Europe District. In her new role, Miller will be responsible for
small package operations throughout Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece,
Bulgaria, Romania, the Balkans, the Middle East and Africa.
A native of Tamaqua, Pa., Miller began her career with UPS in 1988
as a package car driver in Allentown. She soon earned a promotion to
industrial engineering supervisor and later served as a package center
supervisor in the same location.
Miller has worked in a variety of management assignments in the
field and at the UPS Corporate Offices in Atlanta, including internal
audit and compliance. She was promoted to Central Pennsylvania package
division manager in 1995 and later served in that capacity in the
Metro Philadelphia and West Long Island Districts. Miller was promoted
to vice president of operations for the Prairie Mountain District in
Omaha in 2001 and assumed her current post in Chicago in 2004.
